donate to support kc Molière 400 in 2022Did you know when you support the arts, you’re supporting Kansas City and giving to charity is a major mood-booster? It feels good to donate; it immediately creates those wonderful endorphins similar to the side-splitting laughing Molière (1622-1674) gives when you’re watching one of his plays.
In May 2018, a group of arts leaders gathered to consider a city-wide project that would embrace the joie de vivre of Kansas City’s French origins and Molière’s 400th birthday on January 15, 2022. And you are invited to participate in the merry-making, but your help is needed urgently. Do you remember when you first fell in love with the theatre, music, and play-acting? Making a small donation of $20.00 can instantly impact our two educational committees (K-12 and Higher Education Committees). Your support will help teachers secure supplies for their classrooms or to buy tickets to plays written by Molière and hosted by various theatre troupes around the Kansas City metro-area. We’re planning nearly a year long festival, beginning in the fall of 2021 with area schools to educate youth about Molière and the arts, and your donation introduces children to the importance of generosity. That’s not all you can impact because this festival is for you, too. Your kind gift can help Molière get a foothold in Kansas City because his brilliant comedies, court ballets, and contemporary adaptations or spin-offs of his plays are still relevant pointing out the moral duties to improve the lives of others all the while making you laugh until you cry. We can coordinate joint exhibitions of Baroque paintings and concerts, offer informative lectures, and give demonstrations and workshops merci à vous (thanks to you).
