Jeu de plume

KC MOlière: 400 in 2022 will welcome Rockhurst University student essays from the Molière class led by Professor of Modern Languages, M. Kathleen Madigan, Ph.D., to Jeu de Plume in December 2022. A strong component of our mission is education during the city-wide celebration of the beloved French playwright's 400th birthday (15 January 2022).

In the 17th century, an indoor tennis court (jeu de paume) could serve as a theatre and Molière's little troupe began in a Paris jeu de paume.  Jeu de plume is sport with a
pen that  illuminates the delights of Molière, his times, contemporary impact, and/or French lifestyle.
